Recent legislation has broadened the earned income levels of the working poor so that more children are eligible through this program. To be eligible, the child must be under the age of 19.

The Ohio Patient Protection Act allows Ohio patients to appeal health insurance claim denials to an independent board called the Independent Review organization (IRO).
